Our Vision Statement: What we intend to do

Our vision is to T.O.U.C.H. every household in our community. The vision is to reach into the community with the gospel (the good news) of Jesus in such a way as to not pressure the individual to seek out Christ, but to walk with them, as they do. For it is God’s will that all would be saved! “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV)

T- Teach the community one person at a time how to live Godly lives. “And the things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also” 2 Timothy 2:2 NASB). The Apostle Paul called the entire church to teach others the things of the Lord; “We announce the message about Christ, and we use all our wisdom to warn and teach everyone, so that all of Christ’s followers will grow and become mature. That’s why I work so hard and use the mighty power He gives me.” (Colossians 1:28-29, CEV)

O- Outreach into the community, with special events and ministries that bring the gospel to everyone. Letting our light shine that men and women may see our good works and glorify our Father that is in heaven. Whether through Bible Studies, youth events and programs, or teachings of practical nature, they are all designed for reaching the community for Christ.

U- Unconditional love of Christ will be the manner in which we impact our community for the gospel. Considering others before ourselves while remembering that we too were once alienated and separated from Christ. “Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God (2 Corinthians 6:9-11, NASB). Remembering always, there is no distinction between men, women, race, or ethnicity, so we cannot judge one another based on our differences.

C-Compassion and caring for individuals and groups with specific needs that exist within our community. “Show them great respect and love because of their work. Try to get along with each other. My friends, we beg you to warn anyone who isn’t living right. Encourage anyone who feels left out, help all who are weak, and be patient with everyone. Don’t be hateful to people, just because they are hateful to you. Rather, be good to each other and to everyone else” (1 Thessalonians 5:14 CEV)

H- Honor God by working together as a unified body of Christ endeavoring to give ourselves over to the plans and purposes that God has prepared for us. “And the glory which Thou hast given Me I have given to them; that they may be one, just as We are one; (John 17:22, NASB)
